Since inception, pro bono work has been a core value at Hariani & Co. We have always been committed to serving public good and to this end we have been providing legal services to those who cannot otherwise obtain legal representation. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to work with several individuals and organisations to promote and protect various social and environmental causes.
Hariani & Co. has a specialised Pro Bono Cell dedicated to rendering legal services to persons in need and organisations with limited access.
The pro bono legal services rendered by the Cell encompasses filing of writ petitions and public interest litigations (PILs) in furtherance of social and conservation measures, drafting of deeds and contracts, assisting in the formation and registration of Trusts (including representing the Trust before the Charity Commissioner), general legal advisory work and intellectual property rights such as copyright and registration of trademark for individuals in need, NGOs, Trusts or charitable organisations.
The firm is also associated with Thomson Reuters Foundation- Trust Law, a global pro-bono legal programme which allows lawyers to connect with non-profit organisations and social entrepreneurs seeking free legal help.
